Marklund GUITARS

My name is Per Marklund and I am the owner of Marklund Guitars. I'm based in Stenberg, Sweden near the town of Örnsköldsvik. 

A couple of years ago I was in a guitar shop trying out some guitars. The shop owner asked me if I wanted to try a real rarity. He picked up a case and opened it. In there was a wonder 1937 Martin D18. I was a student at the time so with barley enough money for a cup of coffee there was no chance I was taking that Martin home with me. I searched for something that would sound as good as that guitar but never found it. Thats when it all began. I thought that if I couldn't find it in a guitar shop I had to do it myself. A couple of months passed and I was visiting my design teacher at my old school. And student there was making a guitar. I asked him where he bought the wood and he told me he bought it at the local music shop. I jumped in my car, drove to the store, got in and came out with a pile of wood which I had no idea what to do with. About 6 months later I had finished my first acoustic guitar.

That was in September 2011 and now I have customers In the Sweden, US, Germany, France and many more. I hope you will join the growing crowd of guitarists playing Marklund Guitars!
